Welcome to our World

Goal:

Our main aim is to organise activities for our children. Making them fun, safe and diverse with total inclusion.
The parents and children work together fund raising in the local community putting on coffee mornings, sponsored swim, sponsored walks etc... We have been fortunate that local businesses and groups have given us donations.

We also raise awareness of the lack of facilities and opportunities for children with disabilities in our area, by going along to other local charity meetings and speaking to the local council.

Children's Activities:
Anything that the children will take part in. Swimming, Bouncy Castle, Horse Riding, Arts and Crafts, Crafty Bakes, Messy Play and more...

The activities take place locally at the Children's Centre, Recreation Centre, Pool at Millom School, Millom Community Church at the Network Centre

Getting Together:

Parents and Carers catch up, advice and support: http://www.facebook.com/groups/millompcdg/
Millom Parents and Carers Disability Group is the local face book closed group page that is used regularly.

Parents and Carers meet up for at local places for coffee and/or lunch. In the past couples have put events on at their homes. We've had Drinks n Nibbles, a B-B-Q party and Bonfire party. All a success with more like it for the future.

Activities for ALL the family
  • Swimming Fun

Fun in the swimming pool for children of all abilities and disabilities. You can see from the happy smiley faces, how enjoyable swimming can be.

  • Horse Riding

Horse Riding at Murthwaite Green Trekking Centre in Silecroft. Children seem to find sitting on the horses very calming. The children with behavioral problems, sit and wait, anticipating the long ride to come.

  • Bouncy Castle Inspiration

20 foot inflatable slide, 2 bouncy castles, soft play area with a ball pool, face painting, hot and cold drinks, hot dogs and sweets, what more could any child want. We really know how to have fun.
